Iraqis topped foreign property buyers in Turkey
Iraqis topped the list of the foreigners buying property in Turkey in June, according to Turkish Statistical Institute data.
The Turkish Statistics Institute said on Wednesday that the Iraqis topped the list with the purchase of 429 properties followed by the Iranians with 415 properties, then the Russians with 190 properties and Germans with 126 properties.
Statistical data shows that Kuwaitis and Britons ranked fifth in terms of foreigners buying properties, with 113 properties each during the month.
The total number of property sold to foreigners in Turkey last month was 2,689, an increase of 5.3% compared with the same month in 2018; Istanbul is on the top of the list with 1009 properties sold, followed by Antalya with 668 and Ankara with 134, and then Yalava with 123 and Bursa with 122 properties.
It is worth mentioning that the Iraqis topped the list of foreigners buying real estate in Turkey in 2018, for the fourth year in a row, according to official data.
